Michael and Maria have a wealth of experience in hospitality having owned and operated establishments both in Scotland then in Greece for many years.

In 2003, Michael and Maria found a lovely but neglected house in Koroni. It had once been the splendid home of the village iconpainter……and  there the seeds of their dream were sown.

At first they thought of having a place for themselves to come on vacation, but the house was so unique and Koroni so beautiful that they decided to share the delights of this wonderful place with others by sensitively converting the house into four comfortable and delightful apartments. That is where ‘The Iconpainter’ concept began.

 In 2007, they moved to Greece on a permanent basis having, the previous year, bought a large olive grove close to Peroulia beach.

 Michael, who had worked as an architect both in Europe and the UK, created from scratch The Iconpainter’s Villas and designed and built their own amazing house.

All of his work shows clever design, sensitivity and expertise. The result is  magical.

Since then, they have  created a truly beautiful garden, orchard and plantings all providing a visual delight for the guests. The market garden provides the guests with unlimited fresh fruit and vegetables

Now living permanently in Greece since 2007, Micheal and Maria (who both have fluent Greek) have amassed a wide knowledge of the country, its’ history and in particular of the local area which they love to share with their guests.
